CORBIN \u2014 Cruz Cima was in cruise control on the mound while Corbin\u2019s bats were in midseason form at the plate as the Redhounds wasted no time advancing to Wednesday\u2019s Class 2A, Section 7 championship game against unbeaten Clay County with a four-inning 15-0 win over Bell County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cima tossed four scoreless innings, allowing only four hits while striking out six batters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Noah Cima connected with a grand slam while leading the Redhounds with two hits, five RBI, and two runs scored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Corbin (4-2) built a 2-0 lead in the second inning before exploding for 10 runs in the third inning while adding three more runs in the third inning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Redhounds will now face-off against Clay County Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Class 2A, Section 7 championship game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAlways good to advance in a tournament,\u201d Corbin coach Cody Philpot said. \u201cCruz was sharp tonight and we did some good things offensively. We\u2019ll have to be ready to go tomorrow, Clay County is off to a really hot start, we\u2019ll have to play well.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Walker Landrum finished with a hit, two RBI and two runs scored while Clayton Botner finished with a hit, an RBI, and a run scored. Cooper McCauley also finished with a hit, an RBI, and a run scored. Lucas Tarvin connected with a hit and scored twice while Cam Estep and Kade Elam had a hit and run scored apiece. Mikey Neal finished with a hit and Bradric Helton scored twice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
