The Lady Redhounds played four matches going 1-3 overall, but gained valuable experience that will pay off in the long run.
\u201cWe purposely travel all over the state to play the best of the best and these four matches in three days certainly put us to the test,\u201d Corbin coach Chris Jones said. \u201cI\u2019m very proud of all of my girls because a schedule like this is both physically and emotionally draining, but they fought hard the entire time and played some great tennis.
\u201cNewcomer and seventh grader, Isabella Lopez, had a couple of huge singles wins while our No. 1 doubles duo of Katie Morton and Lindsay Jones picked up a couple of big wins as well,\u201d he added. \u201cRiley Lewis also fought hard all weekend, picking up a win in both singles and doubles with her partner, Olivia McArthur. And even though Haley Carr and Karlee Dickerson didn\u2019t get a win, they both played hard and are improving every time they step on the court. These girls went toe to toe with the best in the state and they represented Corbin well, both on and off the court. They\u2019re a fun group to watch, for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
