WILLIAMSBURG \u2014 Williamsburg coach Brennen Patrick Yellow Jackets didn\u2019t get the win over Middlesboro on Tuesday, but he did see some things that he liked during his squad\u2019s 13-9 loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Williamsburg (0-2) trailed Middlesboro 11-2 after four innings of play before battling to make a game out of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Yellow Jackets scored three runs in the sixth inning and four more in the seventh inning before falling short in their comeback attempt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe played well just had a few mistakes in the field but over all we played well,\u201d Patrick said. \u201cI told my team after the game I love that we don\u2019t stop fighting at the plate. We could\u2019ve given being down on the scoreboard but we kept battling and made a good run at the end to give us a chance. Just fell a little short. We are getting better every game and it will only get better.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Henry Bowling led Williamsburg with two hits, two RBI and two runs scored while Isaiah Sizemore finished 2-for-2 with two runs scored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Middlesboro (2-2) had three players finish with multiple hits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Malachi Coots had two hits, two RBI, and five runs scored while Ethan Johnson finished with two hits and three RBI. Brady Hatmaker collected two hits and two RBI while Isaac Harris drove in two runs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
