LEXINGTON \u2014 Louisville Butler survived a scare from Franklin County during Friday\u2019s quarterfinal action of the KHSAA Girls\u2019 Sweet 16, handing the Lady Flyers a 39-36 loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The game was close throughout with eight lead changes and five ties despite Butler leading the game for more than 25 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bearettes held a slim 10-9 lead at the end of the first quarter and a 14-13 edge at halftime before clinging on to a 26-25 advantage entering the fourth quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Butler managed to outscore the Lady Flyers, 13-11, in the game\u2019s final eight minutes to secure the win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ramiya White led Butler with 19 points and 12 rebounds while Mariah Knight had 12 points and 10 rebounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bearettes limited Franklin County to 9-of-43 shooting from the floor and 1-of-13 from 3-point range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rachel Shropshire led the Lady Flyers with eight points. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
