<\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Jason Chappell has stepped down as North Laurel High School\u2019s football coach after compiling a 14-11 record during his two years as the head coach of the Jaguars football program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chappell guided North Laurel to an impressive 8-5 mark this past season while leading the Jaguars to the Class 5A, Region 4 championship game. He posted a 6-6 mark during his first year at North Laurel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chappell said he loves North Laurel High School and is very apprciative of Principal Mike Black, Athletic Director Haley Ratliff, and entire faculty and staff at North Laurel High School. He also wanted to thank the student body and entire North Laurel community for all of their support the past two years. Mostly, he wanted to thank the young men that played for him for all of their hard work and dedication to our program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chappell\u2019s departure is completely voluntary. He said he is looking forward spending more time with his children, getting more involved in their activities while fulfilling other career goals outside of football.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
