MCKEE \u2014 Jackson County picked up its biggest win of the season, surprising visiting Whitley County with a 45-44 win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Generals (10-10) received a balanced scoring effort with Tydus Summers leading the way. He scored 10 points while Carter Cunagin and Keagan Ward scored eight points apiece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The game was close throughout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two teams battled to a 10-all tie at the end of the first quarter while Jackson County held a 23-20 lead at halftime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Colonels (15-5) reclaimed a 31-29 advantage entering the fourth quarter before Jackson County rallied to claim the one-point win. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCredit to Jackson County,\u201d Whitley County coach Eric Swords said. \u201cWe have to get better offensively. It\u2019s like pulling teeth trying to score sometimes, and we left a lot of points out there tonight. Our margin of error is so small right now we have to convert on the easy ones. We will get back at it tomorrow and keep trying to get better.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lucas Queener led Whitley County with 14 points while Dre Ellis scored 10 points. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
