BARBOURVILLE \u2014 Tyler Wagner\u2019s Lynn Camp Wildcats are beginning to catch fire at the right time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After starting the season with an 1\u201311 record, the Wildcats have reeled off three wins during their past four games, including Monday\u2019s 42-41 51st Distroct win over Barbourville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Wildcats held a 40-31 edge with 1:20 remaining in the game before holding off a late rally by the Tigers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTonight was a battle,\u201d Wagner said. \u201cHats off to Chris Taylor those kids could have gave up anytime but they didn\u2019t. He\u2019s done a tremendous job with them. That is a tough place to play  the atmosphere was how every district game should be. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am so proud of these kids tonight,\u201d he added. \u201cOur fans came out and supported us big time. We came out in the first half and followed the game plan to perfection. We came out moving the ball well and really trusting our teammates and making that extra pass every time we had it. In the second half, we took the punch and still kept playing the way we needed too. But Barbourville kept battling back and really got into us and we made some mistakes in the fourth that almost lost us the game. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur defense came out and held them to 0-for-15 from the 3 and that was a big key to us winning tonight,\u201d Wagner continued. \u201cEveryone that was in a Lynn Camp jersey contributed tonight. I\u2019m so proud and happy for these guys. They\u2019ve been putting in the work and it\u2019s starting to show and they see it. This was a great win for our team and a great win for Lynn Camp. The kids earned this one tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tate Mills led the Wildcats with 17 points while Caleb Woods added eight points. Eathan Fisher led Barbourville with 12 points while Jasper Hubbs finished with 11 points. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
