MANCHESTER \u2014 Clay County snapped an eight-game losing skid to North Laurel on Thursday by handing the Jaguars a 58-51 loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nate Valentine\u2019s squad dug themselves a 31-15 hole in the first half before rallying in the second half.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

North Laurel (6-11 overall, 2-1 vs. 49th District opponents) outscored the Tigers (10-8, 3-1), but the damage had been done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Jaguars trailed 46-30 entering the fourth quarter before outscoring the Tigers, 21-12, in the game\u2019s final eight minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe just dug ourselves too deep of a hole early in the game to recover,\u201d Valentine said. \u201cCredit to Clay County for making things difficult on us. They did a good job of making things hard for us on the defensive end. I still believe in this team. I told our players no matter what has happened to this point in the season, our goals still remain the same.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elijah Bundy led Clay County with 18 points while Ethan Jackson added 13 points. Jerrod Roark followed with eight points while Adon Grubb, and Hayden Harris finished with seven points apiece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jordan Rawlings led North Laurel with 14 points and four 3-pointers while Kole Jervis added 11 points. Reece Davidson also scored in double figures, finishing with 10 points. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
