CORBIN \u2014 The Corbin Redhounds suffered their first back-to-back losses of the season, finishing the Grace Health Cumberland Falls Invitational with a 74-64 loss to Daniel High School.\u00a0
The Redhounds fell behind 17-12 in the first quarter and faced a 35-26 deficit at halftime.
Corbin cut into its opponent\u2019s lead in the third quarter, outscoring Daniel High School, 20-15, while trailing, 50-46, with eight minutes remaining.
Daniel High School out the game away in the fourth quarter, hitting 14-of-19 shot attempts from the free-throw line. Sims Disbrow scored 12 of his 27 points in the fourth quarter, and finished with five 3-pointers.
Trey Worley led Corbin with 18 points while Zander Curry finished with 16 points. Carter Stewart also scored in double figures, finishing with 13 points.
\u201cWhat a great tournament put on by the Redhound Varsity Club,\u201d Corbin coach Tony Pietrowski said. \u201cWe saw some great competition and will be better from it down the road. It allows us to define areas that need improvement. I my guys and expect us to continue to grind and get better.
\u201cExcited to see Zander Curry make the all-tournament team,\u201d he added. \u201cHe played with a high motor the entire tournament. Can\u2019t think of a better representative of the Zeke Perkins award. Trey Worley is a special person and athlete.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
