The Cardinals ran their win streak to four games with a 64-57 win over North Hardin in first round action of the Richmond Car and Truck Holiday Classic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
South Laurel is now 7-2, and has limited its opponents to score 57 points or below eight times this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTotal team effort today,\u201d South Laurel coach Jeff Davis said. \u201cHad guys step up when we were in foul trouble and kept us in the game. Made big shots and played very well defensively. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNorth Hardin is really, really good,\u201d he added. \u201cWe were able to make enough plays and get keys stops when we needed it the most.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Cardinals held a slim 44-43 lead entering the fourth quarter before outscoring the Trojans, 20-14.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Davis\u2019 squad hit 12-of-15 shot attempts from the free-throw line in the second half, including a 5-of-6 effort in the final eight minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
