Corbin (6-1) fell behind 22-11 in the first quarter, and rallied to take a four point lead in the fourth quarter before losing, 74-67.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Lady Redhounds didn\u2019t have an answer for the Lady Waves\u2019 Peyton Bradley, who finished with a game-high 40 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bradley started, and finished strong, scoring 12 points in the first quarter, and 12 points in the game\u2019s final eight minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDisappointed in our readiness to play today,\u201d Corbin coach Isaac Wilson said. \u201cWe really dug ourselves a hole today, and against good basketball teams you just simply can\u2019t do that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Corbin trailed 38-28 at halftime, and 54-48 entering the fourth quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Lady Redhounds battled and eventually took a four-point lead before Meade County reclaimed momentum and outscored Corbin by 11 points the remainder of the game. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m proud of our fight and our ability to go up four points in the fourth quarter,\u201d Wilson said. \u201cWe have to find a way to win that type of game late as the season progresses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Queen of the Commonwealth is a great tournament and you come here to be challenged and to find weaknesses in December,\u201d he added. \u201cWe did exactly that today and we will learn from it and move forward. Tomorrow is a new day and will present another great opponent for us to challenge ourselves with. We will be ready to play tomorrow and look forward to the challenge.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Corbin will be back in action on Wednesday at 4 p.m. against an opponent to be determined later today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
