The Lady Wildcats (1-6) have had struggles getting off to a good start during their six-game losing skid, but scoring early wasn\u2019t the problem on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Turnovers turned out to be a problem for coach Joshua Mobley\u2019s squad instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thomas Walker, Va. took advantage of the Lady Wildcats\u2019 miscues, and ran away with a 23-point victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lynn Camp fell behind 24-9 in the first quarter, and never recovered.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cToday we came out at the start of the game strong and we were able to hit a few shots,\u201d Mobley said. \u201cHowever, we started to struggle taking care of the ball and giving them easy opportunities to score at the rim with turnovers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe also didn’t control the boards and the paint as much as I would have liked to on both ends of the floor today,\u201d he added. \u201cWe have to be much more efficient by taking care of the ball, better decision making on the floor in transition and in half court execution, and by finishing our shots more efficiently.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sayde Mobley led the Lady Wildcats with 12 points while Julie Moore added 11 points, and Madison Weymers finished with 10 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
