Maddy Hopkins scored nine of her team-high 15 points during the opening quarter while Aubree Clemens added 13 points for the Lady Colonels (1-0).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGood effort from our girls,\u201d Whitley County coach Sean Pigman said. \u201cProud of how they played as a team the first night out. We shared the ball really well, and had lots of intensity and effort in defense end. We will just continue to work hard and get better.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lynn Camp (1-2) fell behind 24-8 in the first quarter and trailed 45-17 at halftime before being outscored, 9-0, in the third quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Lady Wildcats were led in scoring by Lauren Partin, who finished with eight points while Madison Weymers finished with six points. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTonight’s game was rough from the start,\u201d Lynn Camp coach Joshua Mobley said. \u201cThey started right out of the gate and jumped out to a comfortable lead. We didn’t take care of the ball tonight due to their ball pressure and their traps. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are going to have to work more in practice on developing our guards against ball pressure and pressure situations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
