CORBIN \u2014 Tom Greer\u2019s Corbin Redhounds showed the remaining teams in the Class 4A playoffs they are primed and ready to make a run at the state title with their 63-0 win over outmanned Wayne County on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Corbin once again recorded a dominating effort on both sides of the ball while recording its seventh shut out of the season, and third consecutive blanking of an opponent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last time a team has scored any points on the Redhound defense is way back on October 6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Corbin (11-0) has allowed only 42 points this season with the varsity allowing only nine of those.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Receiver Carter Stewart also became the Redhounds\u2019 career leader in receiving yards, surpassing former Corbin wide out AJ Moore\u2019s 2,113 yards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Redhounds will be back in action at home against Taylor County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur kids came out and played sharp on both sides of the ball and special teams,\u201d Greer said. \u201cThe kids really did a good job executing the game plan and took care of business with great effort . The kids were focused in this week and now we will prepare and get ready for round two.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Greer\u2019s squad started its playoff run the way it ended regular season play \u2014 dominating on both sides of the ball.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A 12-yard rushing touchdown by Cam Estep triggered Corbin\u2019s dominance once again as Guy Bailey followed with touchdown runs of 58 yards, eight yards, and 39-yards, and a fourth rushing touchdown while Kade Elam connected with Estep with a 25-yard touchdown connection to push the Redhounds\u2019 advantage to 42-0 with 9:40 left in the second quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clay Akins added a 25-yard touchdown run to give Corbin a comfortable 49-0 lead at halftime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Colton Creekmore added a rushing touchdown in the second half to give the Redhounds a 56-0 lead while Akins 37-yard rushing touchdown increased Corbin\u2019s advantage to 63-0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
