MONTICELLO \u2014 The Corbin Redhound boys\u2019 cross country team continues its dominance in Class 2A\u2019s Region 5 by capturing their fifth consecutive regional crown on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Corbin had three runners finish in the top 10, and all six runners finish in the top 20 as the Redhounds finished with 44 points. Bell County placed second with 65 points while Mercer County (third, 96), Wayne County (fourth, 106), Boyle County (fifth, 110), McCreary Central (sixth, 128), Whitley County (seventh, 163), and Lincoln County (eighth, 199) rounded out the eight teams that fielded enough runners to compete for the team regional crown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Connor Messer led Corbin with a fifth place finish (17:40) while Ethan Slone placed sixth (17:45.79), and Koby Perkins rounded out the Redhound runners in the top 10 with an eighth place effort (17:58.36).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whitley County\u2019s Danny Ellis finished seventh overall with a time of 17:47.12 while Bell County\u2019s Braydin Hickey (18:10.11), and Reese Arno (18:12.24) finished ninth and 10th, respectively. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
