CORBIN \u2014 The third time was the charm for the Corbin Lady Redhound volleyball team on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After losing twice to North Laurel during regular season play, the Lady Redhounds got revenge during first round action of the 13th Region Volleyball Tournament with an impressive 3-1 victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The win improved Corbin to 18-8, and advanced the Lady Redhounds to Monday\u2019s semifinal round. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lady Jaguars finish the season with a 17-15 mark while also winning the 49th District championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI couldn\u2019t be more pleased with how we played today,\u201d Corbin assistant coach Krystal Jones said. \u201cOur girls knew going into this that it was going to be a big test, after losing our two regular season matchups to them.  We knew we needed to make adjustments.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCredit where credit is due,\u201d she added. \u201cThat North Laurel team has some incredible talent and they are just a great program.  They will be a force in the years to come. Our theme in this postseason is to stick to our game plan and do what we do best. We did that today. We were able to ride the highs and lows and keep our focus on what we practiced all week. We have a wonderful group of kids and we couldn\u2019t be more proud of them. It\u2019s a great day to be a Redhound.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Corbin came out and won the first set, 25-18, but North Laurel rallied in the second set and tied the match at one apiece with a 25-18 victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lady Redhounds won the third set, 25-22, and picked up the match victory with a 25-20 fourth set win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
