LONDON \u2014 North Laurel notched its 10th win of the season as Jaxon Jacobs continues his impressive play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jacobs scored the game\u2019s long hole during North Laurel\u2019s 1-0 win over Wayne County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Jaguars move to a 13th Region-best 10-4-3 overall while capturing their second consecutive win in the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

North Laurel has a chance to finish regular season play on a high note of it can get a win over Great Crossing on the Thursday. It would mark a season-best third consecutive victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But first things first, North Laurel coach David Broyles said he was pleased with the way his team played on Tuesday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI felt we played well tonight and controlled the game and was glad to see our seniors close out the regular season at home with a win,\u201d he said. \u201cWayne County has a pretty good team and they challenged us. We didn\u2019t possess the ball as much as I would have liked, but we hustled and worked really hard tonight. We had several opportunities to score but just were not able to convert. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cJaxon Jacobs was able to put us up 1-0 when he found the back of the net midway through the first half and that\u2019s how it stayed till halftime,\u201d Jacobs added. \u201cWe started the second half strong but we weren\u2019t able to add to the score. Defensively, we never really gave them many opportunities to score and we\u2019re able to hold onto the 1-0 win.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It makes the sixth shut out of the season for North Laurel. The Jaguars haven\u2019t allowed more than a goal during its last eight games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
