HARLAN \u2014 It\u2019s been one heck of a offseason for Harlan County\u2019s Trent Noah.
After guiding his team to a 52nd District championship, and an appearance in the 13th Region Tournament, Noah has continued to work during the off-season, garnering 15 offers from Division I schools, pushing his total to 23.
That\u2019s right, 23.
His latest offer from Cal came on July 8.
\u201cThis summer has been great, competing with and against some of the best competition,\u201d Noah said. \u201cI feel like it\u2019s pushed me to be a better overall player.
\u201cThe recruiting process has been fun, as of now there are no front runners,\u201d he added. \u201cJust taking it slow and trying to make the right decision. It\u2019s definitely a huge honor for sure. I\u2019ll take some visits in the coming months and hopefully then be to a point where I can make my decision.\u201d
Noah averaged 26.5 points, and 12.8 rebounds last season for the Black Bears, and has put together a solid campaign this summer with the Midwest Basketball Club.
\u201cIt\u2019s been great playing with Midwest,\u201d Noah said. \u201cAll summer we have played in front of a lot of different people and at the highest level.\u201d
With summer basketball wrapping up soon, Noah will focus on leading Harlan County, to what he hopes, will be a deep postseason run for the 2023-24 campaign.\u00a0
\u201cI\u2019m super excited for this season,\u201d he said. \u201cI think we have a very special team and a strong connection with each other. I definitely see this team as a team that can make a deep run in the postseason.\u00a0
\u201cOur goals are to win the district, region and ultimately win a state championship,\u201d he added. \u201cI\u2019m just working everyday, trying to become a better player each and every day to give our team the best chance to win.\u201d
