Clay County\u2019s defeated Bullitt Central, 10-7, and tied with Hazard, 3-3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt was a solid win for the boys to finish the week with,\u201d Smith said of his team\u2019s win over Bullitt Central. \u201cWe\u2019ve been fighting the injury bug on and off all year, but we\u2019ve had guys step in and play good baseball for us and give us a chance to win.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Clay County\u2019s 10, Bullitt Central 7<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Tigers spotted Bullitt Central a 4-0 lead in the first inning, and fought back to win, 10-7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ryan Hastings got the win on the mound, tossing five innings while allowing five hits, and three earned runs, and striking out five batters. Tyson Wagers, and Brandin Crawford each pitched an inning of relief apiece with neither pitcher allowing a hit or a run. Crawford struck out two batters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Crawford also had a huge game at the plate, connecting with a home run, and a double while driving in two runs, and scoring three times. Ethan Jackson was 3-for-4 with four RBI, and two runs scored while Hastings also delivered two hits. Aiden Wagers had a hit, and drove in two runs while Aidan Roberts finished with a hit, and an RBI. Tate Rice, and Zach Saylor each finished with a hit, and a run scored apiece while Tyson Wagers had a hit, and scored three times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Clay County\u2019s 3, Hazard 3<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Clay County\u2019s Luke Hillard turned in an impressive effort on the hill, pitching seven innings while allowing seven hits, one earned run, and striking out seven batters. Ethan Jackson pitched two scoreless innings of relief while fanning two batters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
