HOT BATS: Colonels rally up 12 hits in their 8-4 victory over Russell County

RUSSELL CO. — The Whitley County Colonels triumphed over the Russell County Lakers with an 8-4 victory on Tuesday.

Their early lead in the first inning, courtesy of Hunter Wilson’s double and RJ Osborne’s groundout, set the tone for the game.

Brady Bargo secured the win, pitching six and one-third innings and allowing only three earned runs, while Trey Walton provided relief for the Colonels.

With a total of 12 hits, the Colonels dominated offensively, led by EJ Allen who went 3 for 3. Osborne, Wilson, and Jason Nunley each contributed two RBIs.

Next up, the Colonels will face Somerset on Wednesday.
